We have noticed that Nate is a HORRIBLE listener and just speaks right over us instead of listening and then speaking. Most of the time, if you ask him to repeat what was just said, he won't have a clue. So, I have started making him repeat what I say word for word when I don't think he has listened well. Today, I said to him, "When I say NO, it means NO! Now, what did I just say?" To which he replied, "When you say no, it means no. Psalm 18:6" And then he started LAUGHING and I started laughing. He totally made that up! I have no idea what that verse is and neither does he; he just thought that adding a scripture reference would make it seem more commandment-like, I guess. What a character!! Okay, so now I am wondering what that verse really is...let's see...
Psalm 18:6 In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.
It's a good verse. I'll have to teach it to him for real! Too funny.

Perhaps that verse was intended for you! ahahahah!!! ;) What a funny buddy!! Hugs to that boy!--Oh--and his mommy too!
I read this from my Mom's house, and shared it with her--made us all laugh! Don't you just know God laughed too?!
hi margo! i just wanted to let you know I tagged you for a fun little "get to know you' thing on my blog, so check it out!
So funny! One time when Kory was a toddler in Stillwater, he packed a bag and went stomping off. When I asked him where he was going, he said "To Ninevah. I gotta tell those bad people to stop doing those bad things!" We still tell the story and he'll be 13 next month!
The more I hear about Nate, the more I think about arranged marriage. :-)
I think God gave him that verse to comfort you while you are teaching him to listen not talk over people...I truly can picture a smile on God's face...just like mine!
Margo, what a legacy God is building through w/ you in these precious babies, this really blessed me!!!! I truely enjoyed our girl time ;0) In Him, Leah
