I can't believe it's almost 2012!! God's love for me never ceases to amaze me & I am SO grateful!!
My family had a quiet New Year's Eve celebration marked with fun, new traditions, & to be honest, some disciplining...not so fun, but so important!
We celebrated this year by giving the boys a brown paper sack to open each hour. The first bag was given at 6pm. This bag really just gave the boys instructions for the evening (& some Hershey kisses!)!!
The 7pm bag instructed the boys to write names on Popsicle sticks of people they would like to pray for in 2012. These will be a part of our Prayer Pail that we will use in our morning prayer times as a family. The boys were also told to sit back a relax as we remember 2011. So, I popped some popcorn & we sat down in the living room & watched a slide show of 2011!!!! We all enjoyed this!!
The 8pm sack had a Time Capsule for the boys to fill out. This was a great activity!!!
At 9pm, Mike opened the only sack & found instructions to write out four 2012 goals for our family! This was such a great time to talk about what we are hoping to see happen in our lives in the next year!
We finished out the evening with a family handprint craft! I love having the reminder that God is holding our hands all the time & guiding is through the day!!! He is so good!!!!
Happy New Year!!!!!

Loved your ideas, Margo! What a great one to store away. How much fun.
So good to see you all. May how the young men are growing up!
