My throat is ON FIRE and it hurts so bad to swallow, so I went to the doctor today and she is pretty sure that it is strep throat or some other nasty tonsil infection (the throat culture results take 48 hours)...seriously, no fun at all. I started taking some meds tonight and hopefully will feel better soon. In the mean time, Halls Breezers cough drops and hot tea are my 2 best friends. Fun times.

You need to ask your Dr. why in the world it takes 48 hours! The last time I had strep they told me about 10 minutes after the test! So sorry. Sore throats are NOT fun. It's never easy to be a full time mommy and be sick. Be sure to take up friend's on their offer if they offer to help you out! :) Love ya.
I'm so sorry Margo! Wish I could be there to help...have you tried gargling with children's ibuprofen? A dr in Moscow told us about it...look at the adult dose,divide it into one hour segments and gargle, then swallow it, once an hour. It's supposed to help. Praying for you--

I HATE sore throats! They are so the worst! It is really the worst feeling (besides nausea) in the WHOLE WORLD! I definitely feel your pain!
