I found this via a friend's husband's blog that I sometimes check out. I'll agree with him...this is a nice answer to a very tough question. And also like him, I'm not necessarily endorsing him, I just like what he said. I really don't know anything else about the man.

Has anyone else seen this article about a DOG inheriting 12 million dollars? Seriously...that is totally nuts! Wow, what a crazy world this is with some real messed-up priorities...it's sad.

Today when we were leaving to go to the YMCA, we could hear very loud Hispanic music playing. We live north of the airport and lots of planes fly over our neighborhood. Kyle very matter-of-fact-like says, "It must be coming from that airplane." It just made me "inside" laugh...this kid just cracks me up. Our neighborhood still has lots of new construction...the workers must think that everyone in the neighborhood needs to hear their music choice!

First day of school!!

Today was our first day of school! For those who don't know, we decided to homeschool! So, Nate and Kyle are both doing a kindergarten curriculum. The first school time went very well...these two little ones have tons on energy...that's for sure! We started the day by going to the YMCA at 8am. There were 3 other homeschool moms from the co-op I'm in, so our kids were all together in child watch. They had a great time and I realized just how out-of-shape I'm in while participating in a class called Functional Training...I'm not sure how fun it was!

One of my friends from church helped me transform Caden's bedroom into the homeschool room (actually, she did most of it with some help from me, Andrew, and Mike). It is a Thomas room and it is awesome! Here are some pictures!

Tonight I had a mom's meeting for my homeschool co-op/support group. Anyway, while I was gone, Kyle somehow managed to spill yellow paint that I purchased today...I guess he dropped it or something. I don't know how the lid came off so easily since it had never been opened by us before...fun times. I am reminding myself that my new house and new carpet are temporal...not eternal. Did I already say fun times?

we're home!

Well, we got home late Sunday night and I am definitely still in recovery mode! I need a vacation! Wait...that's what I just had...well, I need a lay-on-the-beach-without-kids-and-do-nothing type of vacation! I could definitely do without the 20 hour drive crammed in the back of a mini-van...fun times! No, really, it was a good vacation. We had a good time with Mike's family...we went swimming, ate good food, went up into the mountains, saw a cute movie, saw Mt. Rushmore...it was fun! I'm just kind of glad we aren't doing it again anytime soon!!! I'll write more later and add some pictures!
