I decided to make this 3 seperate blogs...see prior posts for #2 and #1 discoveries!
#3 I have discovered that I do miss Maine falls. Today, with the homeschool group, we went to a Pumpkin Patch. Since my grandma lives nearby, she met us there! We had a great time, it just didn't seem very fall-like!! The high today was 86 degrees...it was HOT...and no leaves have changed. Because of all the rain, everything is very green, almost spring-like!! It was really fun, though. We went on a hayride (actual hay) to the Pumpkin Patch where we picked 3 pumpkins. Then the kids played on a playground and went through a hay maze. (Just a side note, the lady that drove the tractor for the hayride is Danna White, who received an Extreme Makeover:Home Edition house last year...a sad story...read about it here.)
Here are some pictures from today!

ahhhhhhh yes, new england does do fall up right. that is cool about the home makeover..did you know urban promise in nj got one done? matt was telling others about it (i missed out on that convo but saw the urban promise blog later on) i am a big fan of extreme makeover. 90% of that is because of the show and 10% is because of Ty, but anyhoo. btw, none of the pictures are showing up in this blog...???
I've never seen fall in Maine, but I do miss the falls we had in Moscow (ID). Wouldn't it be nice to need a sweater about now? And we picked apples in Arkansas last year, and Idaho for probably 6 or 7 years before that, and this is our first year not to, too. :( Believe it or not it's because an April freeze killed all the fruit in Arkansas! I think we're even going to have to get our pumpkin from Wal Mart. How sad is that. But...our homeschool coop is having a hay ride at the end of the month. Maybe we'll need sweaters...
And your kids are so BEAUTIFUL!!! I love how they look so much alike and yet so very different. God is an amazing craftsman, isn't He!
Love you & praying for you--K
