some of our family traditions

So, I just thought I would share some of our silly little every day traditions that we have started!

HUG, KISS, HIGH-FIVE: official greeting to each other (always in that order, sometimes it's 2 kisses...one for each other to give on the cheek) I'm not sure how this started, but the boys LOVE it and greet each other this way as well as Michael and me. Even Caden loves it!!

THANKFUL THURSDAYS: Every Thursday at meal times, we go around the table a whole bunch of times and tell each other something that we're thankful to God for...it's always sweet and a fun time.

FAVORITE FRIDAYS:
Every Friday at meal times, we go around the table and tell each other our favorite things. Like on Thursdays, we go around and around and everyone just says one thing each time! It's always humorous, especially when Ian says "DADDY" every time at each meal time! Sometimes he says "ALL OF US" which is sweet!

SUNDAY MORNING BREAKFAST: BISCUITS AND GRAVY Mike makes it and it is wonderfully yummy!!

These are some of the things that are coming very normal in our lives, so when you visit, don't be surprised if you are hugged, kissed, high-fived or are expected to tell something your thankful for or some of your favorite things or get to enjoy some yummy breakfast that I don't have to make!

I just love my boys so much and feel SO incredibly blessed by them. I love the life that God has given me and love knowing that I have a heavenly Father watching out for us. God is becoming more and more real to me and so evident in my life. Tonight, at our Good Friday service, I truly mourned Jesus' death...just reading the scripture about how he was treated even before he was crucified...I was crying uncontrollably. I have never felt this deep sense of loss even though I have been a Christian for years. The crucifixion was very real and very not pretty. Anyway, I don't know how I got off on this...it's not exactly in line with my title...oh well! It's my blog and I'll write what I want to...whatever is on my heart!

We did start a fun new Easter tradition tonight that will last through the weekend. I'll share it soon; I promise!

(By the way, one reason that I'm not blogging as much is because it is no longer super convenient to get my pictures on the computer...my husband put our Kodak dock thingie away and now I have to use a cord that I often can't find...oh well!)

You should see our bedtimes--we have to do "butterflies", noses, chins, cheeks, kisses, hugs...and with Mikayla--bear hugs, t-rex hugs, butterfly hugs, bee hugs, crab hugs, and spider hugs. Not that anyone is stalling, or anything...:)
