Today was a good day! Except for some crazy mommy moments that involved me and my screaming Ian, it was good. Oh, and Kyle fell off his top bunk TWICE; that wasn't good. Actually, he was JUMPING down both times and his pants (the first time) and his shorts (the second time) got caught on the protective railing on the side, and he tumbled to the floor. The second time his head caught the shelf of the bottom bunk's headboard. OUCH! He's okay...he says his head just hurts.
We did have school today! I talked to them about Martin Luther King, Jr. and what he did for our country. It's amazing what empathy little kids can have! Anyway, I was going to print off some coloring sheets for them to color while I talked about MLK, but I forgot to get our black ink cartridge refilled. No ink = no coloring sheets!
Here are some pictures of Nate's castle that he made using his Math U See blocks. I got the blocks out to start math time and then got side tracked because of the screaming 3-year-old. When I got back, he was in the middle of building this. Pretty creative!

I MISS YOU FRIEND AND WANT YOU TO COME TO MAINE ANY, ANY, ANY, TIME. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW BIG YOUR BOYS ARE GETTING!!! HOLY SPIRIT THOSE BOYS ARE BEAUTIFUL. I DON'T HAVE YOUR PHONE #, BUT CAN CALL AND WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR VOICE. HUGS FROM MAINE
Sounds like a mostly good day--but I cringed reading about Kyle's head. Ouch. We took the day off of school, but I still did their read-aloud, and tried to talk them into history, but they decided to double up on Thursday. Their choice...
Meredith at Life at 7000 feet has some more good kitchen tips and recycling tips, if you haven't checked it out.
so sorry you had a couple of bunk bed accidents....boys!!! well, keep pressing on my friend. you are amazing and your boys are precious.
Hey Margo! I'm sure my mom told me you were homeschooling, but I sure didn't remember it. I have enjoyed reading your homeschool stories! My son would totally go for "underwear day!" My daughter too, for that matter! (yikes.)
My hubby & I decided a few months ago to seriously pray about homeschooling. God is leading us down that road! I bought curriculum today...Math U See, Sing Spell Read & Write, and more. I'm really looking forward to it...between poop clean-ups! (I just read about the time you got new sheets.) My blog is http://b-rooksfam.blogspot.com. OH, and I found your blog on Facebook.
Take care!
