Today we took the kids to our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt!! The kids had a great time.
First up was Ian's age! He had a great time!

Then, Kyle joined the other 3 & 4-year-olds. The last group to go was age 5 and up. Well, I think some of the kids in this group may have been 15! No, not really, but Nathanael definitely got ran over a little, so he came back with only 3 or 4 eggs. A very nice lady saw that he was sad, so she asked her daughters (probably 8 and 10) to surrender a couple of their eggs to him and to any other "little ones who look sad". So, he ended up with about 7 or 8 eggs, which still didn't compare to Kyle and Ian's 15 or so eggs. It turned into a teachable moment and ended very positively! Thank Jesus! In the picture below, the boys are standing on one of the paths that encircle the ponds in our neighborhood. You can actually fish in these ponds! This area is the common area of our neighborhood, so everyone that lives in this development (and pays annual home association fees) can use the paths, playground, ponds, and swimming pool.
The boys were SO excited to have daddy hanging out with them today!
Here is a shot of our neighborhood pool! There is actually a kiddie pool on the other side of the big one! It should be fun this summer!

1 your thoughts:
How sweet of that Mom to teach her children about sharing and Nate about the gift of receiving! "Daddy" looks like he was having just as much fun as the boys were having.
